Ry Cuming

GroveOut Short take: Bright and energetic, this debut album starts strong with “Some Kind of Love,” the album’s first single, and flows nicely into “Always Remember Me,” a soothing duet with Sara Bareilles. The singer/ songwriter/guitarist rocks a little harder on “Chemistry,” but is most appealing when he takes it easy, like on the moving closer, “Home.” Judge for yourself when he opens for Maroon 5 in the Woodlands, Oct. 22.
