Philip Perry died as a result of heart failure on the afternoon of March 7. Born March 31, 1955, he grew up in Conroe and retired from Exxon Mobil in 1999. Perry was preceded in death by his partner, John Emanus, in 2000. He is survived by many friends who remember him for his zest for life and love of the tambourine. A celebration of Perry’s life was held March 31 at George Sports Bar and The Ripcord.
