Wood, working. SpaceMan Home & Office has been honored in the 20th annual Wood 100 Report, which ranks 100 fast-growing woodworking companies. SpaceMan placed #27 on the list, up from #88 in 2008. Demonstrated leadership. The Texas Historical Foundation, a 55-year-old preservation organization based in Austin, has announced the election of Houston property manager A.J. Simpson to its board of directors. A senior property supervisor at Creative Property Management in Houston, Simpson has been active in the local LGBT community since 1990, volunteering with Bering Omega Community Services, Steven’s House, Krewe of Olympus, and the Diana Foundation. texashistoricalfoundation.org.

AAA South, the American Automobile Association affiliate serving Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico, and middle and west Tennessee, has changed its policy to recognize all families, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. The policy now allows gay and lesbian married couples to receive spousal discounts under AAA’s Associate Membership program.
