Yes, really, this is a children’s book about Gertrude Stein and her friends. Written in a style reminiscent of Stein and illustrated a la a young Picasso, this book makes the most difficult of American writers accessible to a new generation. Kudos to Jonah Winter and Calef Brown for a who-woulda-thunk-it hit. This is truly a book for the erudite child in all of us. — Review: Angel Curtis
