| A JOYFUL NOISE
SING OUT! Gay Men’s Chorus of Houston celebrates
25 years of song this season. For many in the
community, the musical group’s holiday concerts
have become a tradition as anticipated as the
Nutcracker. At more than 100 voices, the chorus
performs this year at twin venues—the historic
Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston on December
5 and the Wortham Center in Houston on December
8, 12, and 14. The singers have also released
Grateful, their first holiday recording. Pictured
is one of the group’s small ensembles, under
the direction of James Knapp, in final rehearsals
for the December shows.
