Helping Cross Dressers Anonymous (HCDA)
is a twelve-step support group for transgendered
people dedicated to helping those who are having
difficulty accepting themselves or for those involved
with a transgendered individual who is having
trouble adjusting. HCDAs philosophy is that
the wearing of clothing opposite to ones
birth sex is but an outward manifestation of an
inner feeling. HCDA is run by a licensed counselor

Houston provides a week-long camp experience for

the centers longest-running groups. Falconer
teaches literature at UH and works in the Writing
Center at HCC. He plans to lead a series of workshops
