STEEL AWAY

When the annual Grey Party sputtered out last year, the community lost a major fundraiser for nonprofit groups. Several of the hosts from that event decided to pick up the slack and engineered Steel Weekend. (L¯r): John Benevides, Mike Klare, Ron Foster, Ralph Taylor (on plank), Thomas Urban, and Brian Kinney (along with Bryan Williams, not pictured) have organized the October 10¯12 series of parties at M Bar, Rich’s Houston, and Numbers. Milam House and four other health-related beneficiaries will split the proceeds.
