This month starts off with Mercury retrograde. If you haven’t started those new projects by now, it is too late; so, you will have to wait until the end of October before you initiate new enterprises. This is the month to review your relationships and relationship patterns. If you have issues there, they will show up. The first three days of the month are rather rough, so duck and cover. And the last four days of the month are rather tense as well. The sun enters Scorpio on the 23rd. Mercury remains in Leo, retrograde through the month. Venus is in Virgo and moves into her own sign of Libra on the 15th. Mars travels through Capricorn and enters freedom-loving Aquarius on October 27. The outer planets remain in the signs they are in.

Aries (March 21—April 19) Relationships take the spotlight this month. Especially with Mercury making you review your most intimate partnerships, you are finding lots of areas that need improvement. You want these areas of your life to improve . . . and now. Make sure you are not pushing your partner too hard, or you risk blowing the chance for a real compromise. You are also putting a lot of energy into your career sector: You are looking for competition and challenge there (a.k.a. fighting and arguing). Try to allow the other person their point of view even if you think they are totally wrong.

Taurus (April 20—May 20) October is the month to get your workplace into shape–the clutter is reaching crisis proportions. Your routines are subject to review this month as well, with a special focus on improving your habits around health. It may be time to take up that diet or health program that you have been thinking about. But at the root of it all, money and career continue to take up the most space in your brain. You will certainly feel like kicking your dreams into action near the end of the month. The staid status quo has got to go, for your tolerance has come to an end.

Gemini (May 21—June 21) As you pull your head out of the sand, just take a look at what you’ve been missing for the last three months. You are feeling more social and creative than you have in a while. And even though the pressure to perform feats of magic and skill are still there, you are having more fun with it. Children can also be more fun to be with this month. But with all of this creative energy percolating, money is extra easy to spend this month. Watch out, your rationalization proficiency is working great.

Cancer (June 22—July 22) Fireworks are being set off in your relationship domain. Be careful that you don’t get burned from some of the sparklers and Roman candles. Music, laughter, adventure, excitement, you want it all. And if you aren’t getting it, you are not going to keep your feelings buried. Put on your roller skates for a self-guided tour again at the Family Museum of Unresolved Issues this month. Don’t miss the Madonna and Child exhibit. You may see someone you recognize.

Leo (July 23—Aug. 22) Talking and more talking for you this month. You just need lots of communication between you and other people in your daily environment. Relationships seem to drive your unconscious desires. Yet, you are not sure what you are looking for. Work environments are tense this month, as the smallest slights seem to set off the biggest arguments. You are more decisive about relationships at the end of the month. And you are ready for a home-cooked meal.

Virgo (Aug. 23—Sept. 22) Since Mercury is your ruling planet and it is retrograde in your money sector, guess what you will be reviewing? A business plan might help. A saving’s plan might help. A plan might help. And you are just gushing with creative ideas about how to make all of these wonderful plans work. You are more in the public eye than usual, so don’t leave the house unless your makeup and hair are done. Making a good impression is important for the rest of the year. Others will be watching.

Libra (Sept. 23—Oct. 23) This is an especially important birthday year with Mercury retrograding through your sign. You are in a major period of review of your life. Life should be going well, and there are new fun escapades especially in the career zone of your horror scope. But you may find there are a few too many opportunities and you are trying to balance too many decisions at one time. Family members or long-time friends can be most helpful and could put you right on the mark. But wait until the end of the month before you put your decisions into action.

Scorpio (Oct. 24—Nov. 21) Time for rest and relaxation. You will need the rest because the end of the month brings on lots of activity in all areas of your life. Your inner balance has been a bit unsettled of late. What drives you deep down? What are your internal needs? You’re not so sure. But be brave: You are healing wounds inflicted in your childhood. Examine your options. By the end of the month, you will be ready for a decision.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22—Dec. 21) You will be renewing old friendships and group associations this month, and generally coming out of the dungeon in which you had locked yourself for the last three months. But watch out–with all this fresh air invigorating your system, you will be a perfect target for impulse buying. If it is something really expensive, take a friend along for some perspective. This is also a good time to market yourself or your products connected to your career, as your charm factor is stronger than usual.

Capricorn (Dec. 22—Jan. 19) Mars, planet of action and adventure, continues his journey through your sign, where he’s been striding his fiery way since last month. You may be ready to take risks that you don’t necessarily take. Or confront things or others that you usually avoid. Relationships look really good. Wonderful people are entering your companionship territory, and they seem to have everything you are looking for. If you are involved, let’s hope this is how you see your current partner.

Aquarius (Jan. 20— Feb. 18) You are in mental heaven this month. You can do all the mental gymnastics that you want and you will have plenty of friends to play with. No small topics for you. You want to understand, and your topic of inquiry is: Everything. Life seems smoother . . . and it is. You can move forward in almost any area with little resistance. Motivation is low, and you are more on a plane of enjoyment. The big push to get back on track comes at the end of the month. Enjoy your vacation.

Pisces (Feb. 19—March 20) You are plumbing the depths of human understanding about emotional closeness. You are striving to move beyond the barriers that have existed between you and your lover. You are seeking to integrate the spiritual life with the everyday aspects in your relationship. Be sure and share with your partner that this is what you are doing so they will understand that dreamy look on your face and not confuse that with all the sugar you have been eating lately. Work and Career: Avoid them as much as possible.
