• Striperella
Striperella is a 30-minute animated series featuring
Pamela Anderson as an exotic dancer by night and
a super hero by later night. The creator is Stan
Lee, best known to millions as the man whose super
heroes propelled Marvel Comics to its preeminent
position in the comic book industry. Among his
co-creations are Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk,
and X-Men.
Striperella is not for everyone, but if you’re
looking for a little fun and aren’t concerned
about political correctness, this gay-friendly
cartoon is good for a few laughs.
Striperella airs on Spike TV at 10 p.m. on Thursdays.
• The Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon
The Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon is a
half-hour cartoon featuring Ren, an ornery asthma-hound
Chihuahua, and Stimpy, his trusting feline sidekick.
In the first episode, they’re a gay couple.
It updates the anarchic physical comedy of the
great Warner Brothers cartoons of the ’40s
and ’50s and is a contemporary (read: adult)
rendition of classic-style cartoons chock full
of mayhem and madness from famed creator John
Kricfalusi (The Jetsons, The New Adventures of
Mighty Mouse).
These cartoons are not for everyone, not because
of the gay subtext, but because they can be downright
disgusting; at least that was the case in the
first episode.
The Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon airs
on Spike TV at 9 p.m. on Thursdays.
