This
is a busy month with the planets lining up with each
other. When this occurs, we usually have times when
people are directed to make decisions or confront problems
that we would prefer to ignore. And we will surely find
our patience with others running low in the week of
August 6–12. Pluto goes direct this month on August
20: This planet of purging and revealer of psychological
secrets will have the most impact on the mutable signs,
Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. Days to stay
in bed are August 6, 8, 9, 14, 23, 27, and 28. Days
to live life to the fullest are August 2, 10–12,
16, 21, 29, and 31. • The Sun is in Leo as the
month opens and enters the sign of Virgo on the 22nd.
Mercury is back up to speed beginning the month in Cancer,
then quickly into Leo on the 7th and finally into Virgo
on the 22nd. Venus spreads her love on the Leos until
the 7th, and then on the Virgos. Mars is in Leo the
entire month. Jupiter is in Gemini and Saturn joins
Jupiter on the 9th.
Leo
(July 23–Aug. 22) Expect a very active month. Since
this is a time to make sure that someone is planning
a surprise party for you, you will want to make sure
that you are getting the love and attention that you
need. Any loss of this attention can be very bad for
existing relationships. And you will be very moody,
and those pouty lips will be especially prominent this
month. You are expecting a return on the love that you
invested in others. Those offering an unrewarding rate
of interest may find their names excised from your portfolio.
By the end of the month, you are back to being your
lovable self once again.
Virgo
(Aug. 23–Sept. 22) Rest and relaxation are the
new items that you should include in your routines for
this month. You are unusually reflective and creative,
preferring to come up with your own ideas and not just
improve on others. Career activity is picking up and
will be very busy by the end of the month. You are interested
in being in charge or leading your company. This is
just the beginning. Relationships are doing well as
long as they don’t get in the way of your climb
to the top.
Libra
(Sept. 23–Oct. 23) Your friendships and group associations
can really pay off this month. All the time and effort
that you have put into those relationships will finally
have the return that you have been seeking. And don’t
worry about the hidden agendas. They are there. Just
get them out in the open. This is a good month to take
some risks and market yourself or your ideas to new
people. By the end of the month you are so sensitive,
you will need a trip out of town, just to rest…call
it a spiritual retreat if you like. And you are that
delicate flower. Let others nurture you in their hot
houses (or hot something).
Scorpio
(Oct. 24–Nov. 21) Imagine you are at a rodeo and
you are about to come out of shoot number 5 riding a
bull named Take Control. You feel daring, excited, and
really alive. So, your career is the rodeo and you can
take the bull by the horns. Do you have enough skill
to hang in there and be flexible and adapt to all the
turns? Don’t settle for less or underestimate yourself.
If you find yourself angry, you are mad because you
are not rising to the occasion. You can make the necessary
adjustments after the 22nd. Right now, just ride ’em
cowgirl/boy/transgender person.
Sagittarius
(Nov. 22–Dec. 21) Wow, partnerships are rearing
their heads for the first time in a long time. You are
finally feeling like you are ready to participate in
being with others. This is definitely the time to get
out there and mingle and merge. Even mingle in a larger
arena—some travel this month would be especially
good for you. Relationships that have seen their better
days are headed for the dumpster. They can be recycled,
but both of you will have to work on it. By the end
of the month, you are focusing on your career and you
seem so much more practical. Life is an illusion. Make
it a good one.
Capricorn
(Dec. 22–Jan. 19) Exploring the greater depths
of your emotional connections to others is not your
favorite place to be. But, that is the journey you are
on this month. If you find yourself surrounded by drama
queens, then you are not expressing your own feelings...and
you have to have someone else do it for you. This is
not markedly negative, but if you do it more consciously,
you can get more from the experience. Later on you can
move their stuff outside on the sidewalk. Some of this
may disguise itself as money differences, but it is
really variances in core values. Just hang in there,
you will feel more sane by the end of the month.
Aquarius
(Jan. 20– Feb. 18) With all the fireworks going
off between you and your romantic partner, you would
think this was the 4th of July. Let that unique eclectic
inspiration out of that closet so that it can run to
the front of the herd and lead the way. Either you get
some excitement in your relationship, or you will be
looking for fresh experiences. Relationships with problems
will be solved or ended. And this is not just a mental
agreement. This is an agreement with your entire physical
being. By the end of the month, you move to the deep
end of the pool. Swimming lessons would be good...butterfly,
breast stroke, back stroke...pick your favorite.
Pisces
(Feb. 19–March 20) This month you will know if
you have taken on too much responsibility because you
will feel the stresses more than usual. Keep a close
eye on your health and make sure that you have plenty
of time for yourself and rest. You may need to let some
of the battles at work just fight themselves out. I
know you usually find an amenable solution for all,
but not this month. You will need more attention and
recognition from everyone around you. By the end of
the month, you will want more consideration from your
lover. Big changes are brewing there, but the soup’s
not ready till next month.
Aries
(March 21–April 19) You are in your natural element
this month. Most of the planets are in fire signs and
this just stokes your own firebox. Make sure that you
do fun, exciting, and different things this month. At
work, you could be remarkably creative and brilliant.
Only take on tasks that need your impetus for getting
started , not the ones that need all of your energy
to maintain. Remember, you are the coach, the cheerleader,
the pep squad, and the mascot. By the end of the month,
you will have to be more grounded and realistic with
your ideas. So brainstorm all this month.
Taurus
(April 20–May 20) Fixing up your home, remodeling
your family, or moving to a new place are all parts
of the fun and excitement in August. You are looking
for some inspiration for your continued commitment to
your current career path and other undertakings. You
are finding that the old motivations that fueled your
drives are sorely lacking. This could show up as depression
and discouragements. Take this as a sign to find a new
road to travel down. Really, this is your chance at
freedom and renewal of your spirit. Don’t wait
for critical mass to occur before you choose to make
a decision.
Gemini
(May 21–June 21) This is an exciting time in your
life. Two outer planets, Jupiter and Saturn, have entered
your sign for the first time in quite a while. Jupiter
was there 12 years ago and Saturn visited about 30 years
ago. This is a time of new beginnings full of hope and
optimism. You are looking at what is working and what
is not. You are more decisive than usual. Others may
not recognize this part of you. But they will get used
to it over the next year or so. This is the month to
begin new projects, initiate new endeavors, renew relationships
and get rid of what is not working in your life. By
the end of the month, you will be feeling more grounded.
And your new proposals will have to show some growth.
Cancer
(June 22–July 22) Your money and financial drives
are running on full blast this month. You will seem
more directed and focused than you normally appear to
others. You may even be accused of being inconsiderate
or not paying attention to others. You are ready to
get your money problems behind you. Clear up old debts
and balance those checkbooks. And you will expect your
lover to help in this process of improved fiduciary
forecast. And as an added bonus, your sex drives will
be stronger too. In this kind of investment, everybody
wins. Be careful of early withdrawal, you may lose some
potential interest and there could be penalties.
