DiamondJimm's, a new club on the north side, debuts this month with a grand opening celebration on Friday, July 5. Jim Hale is the owner. Billed as "the gay club that is straight-friendly," DiamondJimm's will feature specialty nights, including karaoke and drag evenings. Cherryhurst Grill is the new name for Cole's Restaurant. The menu has changed along with the name. Owner Paul Long says, "We'll never change our friendly, intimate atmosphere." Kathy Hubbard of Hubbard Financial Services, Inc. has been appointed to the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council. The council is an advisory group that provides a forum for publication representatives to discuss tax administration issues with the IRS commissioner and other senior IRS officials. Hubbard, an enrolled agent licensed by the U.S. Department of Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS, is one of 18 private sector members of the council. Members serve two-year terms.
