Lost and Delirious
Mouse
Bradford (Mischa Barton) has just arrived
at Perkins Girls College and is quickly
adopted by her two senior roommates, the striking,
sharp-witted Paulie (Piper Perabo) and
the charming and beautiful Tory (Jessica Paré).
These three bond over loss. Mouse has lost her
mother, Paulie lost the parents who gave her up
for adoption, and Tory is losing herself to fit
her parents expectations. They become inseparable.
Mouse, however, is confused by the depth of the
relationship between Paulie and Tory. This world
comes crashing down when Tory and Paulie are inadvertently
caught in a compromising situation. Lost and
Delirious is about the friendship of three
teenagers and how they experience it in a private
school. Throughout this film directed by Léa
Pool, the lost threesome question their relationships
with one another and the authority of others while
desperately attempting to seek out true love.
Lost and Delirious is scheduled to start
July 20 at Landmarks Greenway Theatre.

Just Wanna Be Gay
in
The Closet
In
a summer filled with digital Japa-nese fighters
shooting digital American soldiers and 80s
pop paeans masquerading as movie musicals, Francis
Veber, author of La Cage aux Folles, delivers
The Closet, an intelligent, funny, and
touching look at the power of perception. Where
La Cage had gays pretending to be hetero,
The Closet has a hetero, Francois Pignon
(Daniel Auteuil), pretending to be gay.
Oddly, he doesnt change a thing to create
this entirely different persona. Some faked gay
photos arrive at his office and his co-workers
cant line up fast enough to share their
"I knew it all alongs" with each other.
Francois boring world flips upside down
as this previously meek and insignificant accountant
becomes the talk (and toast) of the town. Veber
presents profound and telling truths about living
gay in a hetero world. Also stars Gérard
Depardieu. Dont miss it. The Closet
is scheduled to start July 6 at Landmarks
River Oaks Theatre. John W. Stiles
