My Beautiful Laundrette. Two young British films
face financial problems and racial prejudice when
they take over a struggling laundromat. The film,
directed by Stephen Frears, stars Daniel Day-Lewis,
Saeed Jaffrey, and Shirley Anne Field. 8:35 p.m.
The Closet. A boring, straight-laced accountant
pretends to be gay in order to keep his job with
a condom company. The film stars Gerard Depardieu,
Daniel Auteuil, and Michael Aumont. 10:05 p.m.
Wilde follows the life of novelist Oscar Wilde
(Stephen Frye) and his personal demons. The film
costars Jude Law and Vanessa Redgrave. 12:05 a.m.
(Sunday, June 29).
