• OUTSMART’S NEW FACE

Tony Yarbrough has joined the OutSmart staff as community marketing specialist.

Yarbrough’s professional background includes more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience. Over the past 10 years, he has held the positions of director of sales, southern region, for Silversea Cruises and regional sales and marketing director for Cunard Line.

Yarbrough is also active in Houston’s GLBT community. He is a co-founding member of Bayou City Boys Club, Inc. (BCBC), whose annual fundraising activities have generated more than $750,000 for HIV/AIDS service providers, care givers, and educators. BCBC’s annual fundraising events include the popular Jungle party, a holiday toy drive, benefit theater performances, and other events.

Yarbrough has also been a contributing writer for OutSmart.

In his new role with OutSmart, Yarbrough will focus on expanding the number of magazine advertisers, and he will work with advertisers to help them increase their business. In addition, he will coordinate the launch of a new publication for Up & Out Communications, OutSmart’s parent company.
