The Rainbow Chamber of Commerce will hold a mixer on June 5 and a membership meeting on June 11. Terry Zolnier, the former owner of Paradise Bar, will open Chicago Top Dog this summer. The new spot at 2703 Smith will serve Chicago-style hot dogs, deli sandwiches, and hamburgers and will be open 24 hours a day.

The Engine Room (1515 Pease) is the venue for the reset "Babes in Boots" dance party for women and friends on Saturday, June 8, 9 p.m.—2 a.m. Admission is $15. StatScript Pharmacy has donated a bioelectrical impedance analysis device to the Houston Buyers Club. The device uses a faint electrical current passing through the body to estimate body composition. Information entered into a software program may report on various types of data, including body fat percent, fat mass, lean body mass, and the way current passes through the body, which can help predict survival rates in people living with HIV.
