This year, the Corvette’s odometer rolls over to half a century. Joe Hlavac (pictured), one of the many fans of the classic American sports car, recently acquired this gleaming 1967 edition. For true Vette enthusiasts, Chevrolet has produced a 50th-anniversary convertible, with similar sleek lines, if less muscle. Later this month, Hlavac and other Classic Chassis Car Club members will drive their pampered vehicles to Austin for the May 23–26 Golden Girls XV, the annual vintage auto show and “car roadeo” competitive driving event.
