This certainly has been a year of retrograde planets. About every two years it happens that we get so many of them all together. Now that Venus is direct (in April), we have Mars going retrograde from May 11 through July 19. Normally, Mars, planet of action and anger, travels through each sign in about a month and a half. In February, Mars enters Sag and (since it’s going retrograde) will remain in Sag till mid September. This will cause a lot of the Sags to be especially active and direct. Big stuff coming up in July when Mars and Pluto meet for the second time this year. The first time was in March when the stock markets tumbled. Happy May Day, Cinco de Mayo, and Mom’s day for this month. Days to keep your head under the covers are May 2, 6, 14, 15, 25, and 26. Days for fun and gaiety are May 10, 11, 16, 19, 23, 24, 29, and 31.

Taurus (April 20—May 20) Time to have that big party you should have given yourself last year when you were too preoccupied. Sure, you are not satisfied with your career direction. Sure, you would like to drop all your responsibilities and find that perfect getaway. But a party you can afford. You are still on your spiritual search as you try to find a deeper meaning to life. As the month comes to an end, you will be dragged back to work and the necessities of daily responsibilities. Party while you can.

Gemini (May 21—June 21) Just what you all have been waiting for: Saturn (planet of structure, responsibility, duty, obligation . . . and your parents) finally enters your sign. And those are the good aspects of Saturn. If you want a year to get things done, to get your act together, and to establish boundaries and tell people just where to get off, this is the year. And the end of the month pushes you even stronger in that direction. You are in a no-nonsense mood, making this a great month for decision-making about love, career, and health. You will know you are in over your head when you start explaining to others why jokes are funny.

Cancer (June 22—July 22) Now that your career is back on track and you think you have your act together, you can enjoy some of the work you have done in the month of April. Social connections turn into business opportunities and can really help your security needs. You are still working on getting that office or workplace in shape. It seems like the more you do, the more you have to do. You are just on the verge of getting into a long-term commitment. You have taken off your rose-colored glasses and are seeing your partner with clear vision.

Leo (July 23—Aug. 22) We might as well talk about your career because your love life is still on vacation. You are feeling very self-motivated. And you can take on any task that is assigned to you. Work and career associations can be very beneficial now and some may last for many years. Don’t forget to stay involved with business organizations that have some purpose; get rid of the rest that don’t. Relationships can make you feel trapped this month. Keep your dance card open.

Virgo (Aug. 23—Sept. 22) You have moved into an action-oriented, decisive, no-BS time in your life. Every action has a purpose connected to a longer-term plan. This whole year, you will seem like a person possessed–starting now. Your home will need to be your sanctuary or you will be explosive there. You will have no tolerance for family members who can’t step up and do their part. Watch that you don’t become too harsh a judge and eliminate those who may have befriended you in the past. Start an exercise program to help relieve those tensions.

Libra (Sept. 23—Oct. 23) Shared money and resources are highlighted for you this month. You are dealing with core trust and loyalty issues. Be sure and take it personally and you don’t have to pretend that you are surprised by your lovers’ and associates’ actions. Don’t let this substitute for a needed adventure in your relationship. Break those routines by the end of the month and find a place to get away from it all. You are in a good time to meet people from different cultures that might enhance your business opportunities. And what better place to meet them than in their own country? But don’t let your eyes off the money.

Scorpio (Oct. 24—Nov. 21) This is the month to make sure you are spending your fun time with someone fun. You were way overfocused on work last month and now it is time to play. Relationships play a big role for you this month. You are still wanting to be the great diplomat at work. Tone down your presence there and get some outside interest. By the end of the month, you are seeking out the deeper meanings of life. Get those finances in order. And pay off those old bills that have been haunting you. You will have no patience for them.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22—Dec. 21) The first half of the month, you are directing those arrows toward work and getting things in order. This would be a great time to get your computers running efficiently and to update any old files. You are wanting to get your body and your workplace in shape. If you have been wanting to change those health routines, this is the time. After mid-month, you are busy. Be sure you take on only projects that call out to you in your dreams. You will have plenty of opportunities to meet people for work and for love. Just don’t overload your schedule.

Capricorn (Dec. 22—Jan. 19) Creativity is oozing from all your pores this month. You are more upbeat than usual and you seem to attract people like a magnet. You are really ready to get your life going and get those habits and routines updated. Also, you are in the mood to nurture others–if your romantic partner is smart, they could be the benefactor. And on top of that, you are pondering the bigger picture of spirituality and how all this needs to fit into your daily routines. Answers seem to come easily and you always have your hand on the right document. You will feel productive this entire month.

Aquarius (Jan. 20— Feb. 18) Just how stable does an Aquarian want to be in their home? They always talk about wanting that and it always seems just out of their grasp. Well, this month, it is close at hand. You are going to want to make your homeplace a temple honoring the flowers and the trees. And yet, you have no time for people who can’t respect you as a person. You are looking for real actions from those who say they are your family–they’re going to have to show it. Children may be difficult or distant. Yet, you show no signs of softening.

Pisces (Feb. 19—March 20) You are in the final stages of making major life plans. Some doubts will enter the picture after the 12th, no matter what decisions you make. Family members will be sending double messages about support with hesitancy. Follow what is best for you and not what is best for them. You are trying to reconnect with your past and part of that will include more contact with your family. The consequences of that interaction may not be good, but it will confirm what you always knew and hoped you could avoid. Even for the gentle, sweet, loving Pisces, you have no tolerance for BS from others even when it is generated from your family.

Aries (March 21—April 19) Now that tax day is finished, just what does your financial picture look like? You are in the mood to spend, spend, spend. Many of you are thinking about a new car, and that could easily figure into your future by the end of the month. At work, you are acting like the big mother–but not everybody wants to do what you think is best for them. Love is in the air and your attraction powers are on full strength. By the end of the month, you are more active and definitely more talkative. Don’t overload your schedule.
