STOP ’N’ SHOP
Pick up some finds at this fancy rummage sale
Pauper or queen, everybody craves a bargain. Satisfy
your jones for deals at the April 12 and 13 Interiors
Bazaar at the Resource Center (7026 Katy Rd.).
Presented annually by the Gulf Coast chapter of
the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID),
the event allows the public to shop showrooms
usually open to the trade only for antiques, accessories,
and more items (like the objects, pictured, from
BLI Collections). Many are available at discount
prices. Tip to seamstresses: Arrive early to paw
through the high-end remnants on the fabric table.
In fact, serious shoppers will want to prowl the
Resource Center on Saturday, 9 a.m.–noon,
for the early-bird special ($15, good for both
days). Admission fees otherwise are $10 after
12 on Saturday, $7 on Sunday afternoon. These
proceeds benefit ASID, which will donate unsold
Interior Bazaar items to the Furniture Bank (www.furniturebank.org).
More info: 713/626-ASID.
