Eva
and Ruby at Edelweiss, being monitored by John Wayne,
NYC. Although an eight-year post-operative woman of
transsexual experience, Eva is often taken for a drag
queen or female impersonator. The owner of a hair salon,
and an expert makeup artist, Eva also loves to perform,
especially as Marlene Dietrich. One of the pleasures
of doing this work is experiencing the continuous breakdown
of categories and stereotypes: Nobody is exactly what
they seem to be, and certainly not what we are supposed
to be!
