Friday, February 3, 2017 @ 7:00 pm
A sleepy East Texas town is about to be besieged by two terrible villains – and everyone is invited to see the drama that ensues.
Old West Melodrama is setting the stage for its next family friendly dinner show.
“The Great Oil Scam of Sulphur Flats” opens on Friday, Feb. 3 and performances continue Friday and Saturday evenings through Saturday, Feb. 18.
The show will be held at Puffabelly’s Depot Restaurant in Old Town Spring, 100 Main St. in Spring, with dinner and a pre-show starting at 7 p.m. The melodrama begins at 8 p.m.
Attendees will meet Goldie Flats, the town’s wealthy landowner with evil political aspirations, Slick Rascal, a sneaky con man, and his dumb sidekick Gopher O’dor.
“Slick Rascal and Gopher O’dor are trying to steal the oil rights from two spinster sisters, Mildred and Myrtle Luling,” producer Jeannine Cole said. “The plot thickens when the hero Deputy Tank Trueheart and heroine Annie Oyle come to aide the sisters. Will the villains succeed and make the sheriff a pawn in their schemes? Come to the show to find out.”
