The Health Museum is now offering Tai Chi classes for Beginners with instructor Kai Lewis. Lewis is trained in Tai Chi, Qi Gong, meditation, and other South East Asian martial arts. Tai Chi encourages stress reduction through a variety of gentle and flowing moving exercises. The series of smooth and focused breathing patterns allows one’s mind and body to release stressful thoughts and body tensions. In these classes, participants will learn practices that will help alleviate stress and encourage peaceful living.

Kai Lewis, who is part of the MD Anderson Integrative Medicine Center team, currently teaches several public classes where he shares the health benefits of Tai Chi and other martial arts to hospital cancer patients, caregivers, and staff. He continues his studies in practical methods of martial arts, healing, meditation, and yoga and applying these arts and their applications in a modern context.

Tai Chi for Beginners will take place at The Health Museum, 1515 Hermann Dr. Houston, TX 77004. Each series consists of 6 Weeks of classes, beginning October 5th- November 16th.
