EaDo Playhouse transports you to foggy Victorian London and the murky Psych Ward hallways of Saint Jude’s Hospital as Doctor Henry Jekyll plots an experiment to separate good and evil in the human soul. After attempting the dangerous experiment on himself, his evil alter-ego, Edward Hyde, tears through London on a bloody streak of murder. Based on the classic novel, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, this chilling musical adaptation features a soaring pop/rock score by Frank Wildhorn, who wrote the lyrics with Steve Cuden, alongside book writer Leslie Bricusse. JEKYLL & HYDE, the gothic musical thriller, is sure to send shivers down your spine!
The world premiere of JEKYLL & HYDE broke box office records in May of 1990, at the Alley Theatre, right here in Houston. Since its creation, it has become one of the most infamous musicals in history, enjoying numerous national tours, a Broadway production and a Broadway revival, as well as countless regional and international productions. EaDo Playhouse takes an in depth look at the musical, asking audiences to peer deeply into a mirror; for the reflection we see may hold more than it appears.

JEKYLL & HYDE stars Colton Berry as Jekyll/Hyde with Victoria Riley as Lucy Harris and Raven Troup as Emma Carew. The production also features an incredible cast of local performers including Claire Beyrouty, Michael Castillo, William Eckert, Luke Hamilton, Mark Jackson, Julia Noble and Nicole Norton.
