National Leather Association – Houston (NLA-H), is proud to announce that nominees are being accepted for the Houston Spirit of Leather Awards beginning August 15th. Nominations in all categories will be accepted through September 15th. The Houston Spirit of Leather awards began informally in 2010, and has grown into Houston’s only formal, annual leather awards event for the Houston Leather Community. The awards recognize outstanding individuals and organizations who promote and support the common leather community goals of: building the community; service; inspiration to current and future generations, and documenting our history. Nominations can be made directly by going to: Tinyurl.com/hsola2016. Voting is open to everyone in Harris and adjacent counties. Voting will be held at the Ripcord, October 1st, from 1pm – 6pm; and on October 8th, at the Montrose Center, from 12pm – 5pm. The event will be held on October 22nd, at Richs Houston, and will include a cocktail hour and catered dinner.
