General Meeting

PFLAG Houston Public Meeting: Please join us on Sunday, January 7, 2018 as we welcome Kent Loftin, Chief Development Officer with the Montrose Center as our guest speaker. A Texas native, Kent served as executive director of Best Buddies Texas, an organization dedicated to supporting disabled people within schools, workplaces and Texas communities. In 2008, he joined Interfaith Ministries as Director of Development, working to collaborate with diverse faith groups to provide services to needy citizens within theHouston area. As a passionate development educator, Kent also serves as a guest teacher at the Rice University Glasscock School Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership. He will be discussing the myriad programs and services available at the Montrose Center for LGBTQ individuals and their families.
Our meeting will begin at 2:00 pm in Fondren Hall, located on the second floor of the Jones Building at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 5501 Main Street. Parking is available between Fannin and San Jacinto. Confidential small group discussions, the heart of PFLAG, will immediately follow our program. We have a small group dedicated to families of transgender loved ones, as well as a group for Spanish speakers.
