We’re kicking off Von Steuben Day weekend with a free screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (PG-13) where Ferris (Matthew Broderick) unabashedly lip syncs “Twist and Shout” at the Von Steuben Parade in downtown Chicago.

Lawn chairs and blankets are highly recommended. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Outside alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the park; however, beer and wine are sold at Niko Niko’s on-site along with delicious Greek and American food. The Historic Market Square neighborhood is also home to many other restaurants that provide take-out food service.
