Arts & Ale: A Fundraiser for #TexasArtistsStrong

Friday, October 20, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Little D Markets is teaming up with Better Block Foundation, Fresh Arts, and local DFW artists for Arts & Ale, a fundraiser to support the recovery needs of artists in Houston who were affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

The event will take place on Friday, October 20 from 6-10pm at Better Block (700 W Davis St, Dallas, TX 75208). It is free and open to the public.

We will be featuring the works of local artists who will be donating their artwork for this one-day event.

The proceeds raised from the sales will go towards the Fresh Arts Immediate Disaster Relief Fund. Many of our Texas artists have experienced a devastating loss, and this fund helps individual artists with their immediate recovery needs, which will include everything from buying cleaning supplies, to preserving their work, to beginning the rebuilding of their studio or live/work space. Each artwork purchased will be available to take home that evening. Find out more about the fund here: https://fresharts.org/sponsorship/funded/project/donate-immediate-disaster-relief-fund-texas-artists

The evening will also feature a selection of craft beers by Oddfellows, a painting workshop (details to come), food, and live music!

Join us as we show our love and support for #TexasArtistsStrong at no better place than Better Block.

We are inviting local artists to submit their artwork, including paintings, art prints, photography, ceramics, sculptures, jewelry, glasswork, and sewn items. For more details, visit the application page here: http://www.littledmarkets.com/artsandalefundraiser/

Little D Markets took root in Dallas in 2014 to bridge the gap between local makers and consumers in the city and activate underutilized spaces. Our events bring together art, food and commerce in order cultivate community and support local businesses.

Better Block Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that educates, equips, and empowers communities and their leaders to reshape and reactivate built environments to promote the growth of healthy and vibrant neighborhoods

Fresh Arts is a Houston-based 501(c)3 dedicated to strengthening the sustainability and vibrancy of Houston’s arts sector by bolstering the capacity and professional practice of artists and arts organizations and enhancing the public’s engagement with the art

We would like to thank the local community of artists in advance for their generosity!
