An Evening with Frank Stella

Friday, February 9, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Public Art of the University of Houston System and program chair Judy Nyquist invite the public to attend ‘An Evening with Frank Stella’ at the University of Houston’s Moores Opera House at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018. Moores Opera House is the site of Stella’s ‘Euphonia,’ a three-part mural commission completed in 1997. The program celebrates the 20th anniversary of the work’s completion.

Following an introduction by Michael Guidry, curator of Public Art, Stella will discuss his work and the role of art in public places with Alison de Lima Greene, the Isabel Brown Wilson Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and Rick Lowe, faculty member at the UH Katherine G. McGovern College of the Arts and founder of Project Row Houses. Admission is free but reservations are required.
