St. Louis, MO (KMOV) — The North American OutGames will be held in St. Louis this spring.
The games, which are a sporting and cultural event hosted by the gay community, are expected to bring $2.3 million and more than 3,000 people to the area.
The week-long festival of sports, human rights and cultural events happens every four years. This year will be the first time the games will be held in the United States.
St. Louis got the bid to host the games because the area is accessible and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) friendly.
