Public can trade a new or gently used musical instrument for free tickets to Manilow’s February 17th concert.
Houston, TX— Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow hopes others will once again follow his philanthropic lead as he brings his Manilow Music Project to the YES Prep West School in Houston. The pop icon plans to donate a Yamaha piano to launch a local music instrument drive. Anyone who donates a new or gently used musical instrument one week prior to show date will receive 2 free tickets (valid for pre-selected seat locations on a first come first serve basis) for Manilow’s February 17th show.
The Manilow Music Project has conducted music instrument drives all over the country to assist local schools with their music programs.
“I’m thrilled to once again bring the gift of music to these kids,” added Manilow.
The box office located at Toyota Center will serve as the base for the instrument drive in Houston fromFebruary 15th through February 17th. The instrument drop off location will be open 10:00am – 6:00pm on those dates.
“It’s truly a blessing that the Manilow Music Project exists and is able to help revitalize music in the public schools,” said Timothy Maynard Orchestra Director for Yes Prep West School. “It’s equally great that these instruments are able to find new life in the hands of a younger generation of musicians. Thank you for your generosity and for setting a wonderful example for our students.”
