More than 500 Downton Abbey fans in Greater Houston got a chance to see a sneak preview of the season 6 premiere, almost a month before the debut in the U.S. Houston Public Media held four screenings, two in Houston in the Crystal Palace Spiegeltent at Bayou Bend Collections and Gardens and two in The Woodlands at Cinemark at Market Street. Fans were encouraged to dress for the occasion for a “Dress for Downton” costume contest for a chance to win guest passes to an upcoming taping of Houston Public Media’s Emmy award-winning Downton Abbey talk show, Manor of Speaking. After the screening, Ernie Manouse and the other Manor of Speaking cast members held a special Q&A session with the audience.
