An evening benefiting AIDS Foundation Houston and BROADWAY CARES/Equity Fights AIDS
For the first time in Houston, members of The Book of Mormon will perform this one-of-a-kind musical event at Numbers night club located at 300 Westheimer on Monday, February 2 at 7:00pm.
Charity in Song is part of an ongoing series of performances by the touring company to support charitable causes. In two and a half years on the road, The Book of Mormonhas raised over $1.8 million in donations for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and local AIDS service organizations. Produced by touring company members, the evening is an opportunity for them to step out of their roles in the musical and perform some of their favorite non-show related material.
“Broadway Cares and Numbers night club have generously supported ending HIV/AIDS in Houston for many years. This collaboration is very special because the cast is giving up their day off to perform this benefit,” explains Kelly Young, CEO of AIDS Foundation Houston. Additionally, Kim Fisk, benefit producer and The Book of Mormon production stage manager says, “The company is thrilled and so proud to help support the Houston and Broadway communities with this benefit. This truly is an evening that you won’t want to miss!”
Tickets begin at $35 and can be purchased at aidshelp.org.
