We Are in Mercury Retrograde
A time to clean up. organize, and take care of past issues

Mercury goes direct on July 25, and that is the time to start new projects or ventures. The planets this month are very busy, and they keep things stirred up. Tensions are very high on the 1st, 4th, and especially around the 27th, so keep your options open and avoid drama. Besides Mercury going direct, Saturn goes direct on the 8th and Uranus goes retrograde on the 17th. With so much shifting, we are less sure of where we are heading and may look to the past to gain insight. • The New Moon on the 8th in Cancer is a good time to focus on making your home and family a nicer place to be. The Full Moon on the 22nd in Aquarius is a time to engage in social or community activities. • Good days this month are the 7th, 9th, 17th, 18th, possibly the 20th, the 22nd, 26th, 28th, and 30th. Days to stay in bed are the 1st, 4th, 27th, and 31st.
ARIES (March 21–April 19). Home and family capture your attention this month. You are putting a lot of energy into your Old Home Place. Some of you are remodeling or moving. You are also interested in healing any old wounds with your family, so you’ll be extending an olive branch at this time. You are feeling very inventive and wanting to express your life differently than you’ve been expressing it in the past. Work and daily routines can seem tiresome if you don’t have a direct interest in what you are doing. Opportunities are coming your way at the end of the month.
TAURUS (April 20–May 20). You are in a period this month when you’ll have a chance to really look at what’s going on in your life. You are about to get moving on some projects you have been planning for the last several months. You have been really focused on your career, and at the end of this month you push things forward. You are able to communicate more easily about your plans to get people on board with you. Your relationship will need some reassurance, especially toward the end of the month.
GEMINI (May 21–June 21). With Mercury, your ruling planet, retrograde this month until July 25, you are definitely in a time of review. You have been very active and are still ready to jump on any task that comes your way. Clear up as many financial issues as you can, especially any that deal with the past. As we get to the end of the month, you are once again moving forward. You are in a good financial period that should last until July 2014. Make sure that you follow your heart.
CANCER (June 22–July 22). Happy Birthday to the Moon Kids. This is your personal yearly cycle where your energies are turning inward as you reassess what you have done over the last year. Your birthday is the time to begin the cycle anew and set new agendas for the coming year. You are in a very positive time, even if it seems tense, difficult, and sometimes crazy. You can get a lot done this year; don’t waste the opportunity. Add some exercise to your routine toward the end of the month—it will really help you!
LEO (July 23–August 22). As the month opens, you are still in your busy social mode from last month. But as July progresses you’ll be taking some time for rest and retreat. You will be more psychically sensitive to your environment and want to pull away from some of your activities. You are continuing to clean things out and establish a better foundation in your life. By the end of the month, you are ready to get out and interact with the rest of us humans. Decisions will be much easier to reach.
VIRGO (August 23–September 22). You continue to be busy and active, especially in the career and social areas of your life. With your ruler Mercury in retrograde, this is a great month to look back and consider what you have accomplished. Resist taking on a new project. If it is really meant to be, it will be available toward the end of the month. Pay more attention to your psychic and intuitive side. Groups and organizations take on a bigger role this month. Be careful not to overload yourself with extra tasks. By the end of the month, it’s time to start pushing again.
LIBRA (September 23–October 23). This month is all about your career and your long-term security with Mercury retrograding through this area of your life. You are taking the time to make sure you really want to continue where you are working. You are ready for something that is much more interesting. Take the time to address the problems at work that come up this month, and then make a decision to stay or leave by the end of the month. Old friends are coming back to visit.
SCORPIO (October 24–November 21). This month, Saturn (planet of future planning, career, and practicality) is going direct. This is going to put you in much more of a leadership role. In your career (anything from a bank CEO to a full-time mom) you are looking to make a commitment to grow this part of your life in a stable and safe place. For the things that aren’t working, you are much more likely to eliminate them—and more quickly than usual for a Scorpio. Take this month to reflect on where you are and get ready for decision-making at the end of the month.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22–December 21). You are in a more internal place this month. You will come out of that occasionally, but only for the right people. You are looking at trust and intimacy issues with the people you have relationships with, including business relationships. If there isn’t a sense of fair play and balance, you may take your toys and go elsewhere. Relationships can be tense if there is no middle ground to work with. The end of the month brings resolution to these issues.
CAPRICORN (December 22–January 19). Health and relationships are your focus during July. First, with Mercury retrograde this month, you will be reviewing your current relationship. If there are problems here, they will have to be resolved. If you are doing well, this is a good nostalgic time. You could hear from old friends or flames with this Mercury retrograde. Keep working on your diet and health plan. You are getting better, and a little exercise is better than none. Lots of new job opportunities are opening up, but don’t take action on that until the end of the month.
AQUARIUS (January 20–February 18). With the planets (along with Mercury retrograde) in your health and co-worker area, you are focusing on this area of your life during July. You are in a big reorganizing mode, both at home and at work. With Saturn (the career planet) going direct, you are more than ready to make some decisions and move forward. Wait until the end of the month before you put any fence posts in cement. By the end of July you will be clear and have some extra energy to push ahead. Relationships are more important toward the end of the month.
PISCES (February 19–March 20). This is a great month to take time off to relax and play. This is a very creative month, so you are stimulated to be more childlike and playful. As a Pisces, you are generally in a much more sensitive time and have an increasing need for retreat during the next ten years. By the end of the month, you are a bit more social and ready to interact with others at work or in social settings. At the end of the month, you are ready to do some reorganizing.
