Ken “Like Barbie” partners with AIDS Foundation Houston for the 24th Annual AIDS Walk Houston 2013
Texas, Houston (Feb. 10th, 2013) – Award winning blogger Ken Williams, the author and creator of “Ken Like Barbie” has offered his particular brand of inspiration to AIDS Foundation Houston. The theme for this year’s AIDS Walk is ‘I’m Walking Because…” a campaign geared to engage the community in the mission to share its reasons for participating in the 2013 AIDS Walk Houston. Ken is featured in a dynamic video where he expresses why he is walking and why others should not only walk but donate as well. Ken is no stranger to AIDS Foundation Houston as he was the 2012 keynote speaker at their World AIDS Day Luncheon where his personal story and calming candor quieted the room of Houston’s upper echelon as they listened intently to him speak about the psychosocial issues plaguing the HIV positive community. Ken’s anti-stigma video, “Consider Me John Doe’, which opened the discussion, shares the message that no one is immune to HIV. Ken brings the same passion as he discusses and celebrates the theme of Houston’s 24th annual AIDS Walk.
“I am a fan of the city and an advocate of any effort that gets us to zero new infections, I am thrilled to partner with AIDS Foundation Houston” said Ken “Like Barbie”. “I’m looking forward to supporting the foundation’s effort to raise funds during the 2013 AIDS Walk Houston and I’m so thrilled I could do so creatively”
The 2013 AIDS Walk Houston is taking place Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Hermann Square Park on the steps of City Hall.
