Milestones

Died. Donald L. Hauboldt was born on October 10, 1948, in Houston and died on February 6, 2012. He was the owner of Thermoplastic Fabrication company. Don was also the Houston GLBT Community Center’s vice president, and the center’s longest-serving board member. He also served on EPAH’s election committee for many years. A memorial service was held on February 18 at Grace Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association.

 

Died. Stacie Lynn Gregorcyk, 41, of Houston, died unexpectedly on January 27 following a brief illness. Born, May 17, 1970, in Robstown, Texas, to parents Scotty and Mary Gregorcyk, she was raised in Bishop, Texas, and moved to Houston where she was employed as a physical therapy assistant and a valuable patient advocate. She is survived by her partner of 12 years, Dana Whitley of Houston; father and stepmother, Scotty and Alice Gregorcyk of Beaumont; and numerous family members and friends who cherish the memory of her infectious smile and sense of humor. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gregorcyk. A celebration of Stacie’s life was held January 30. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your favorite charity.

Died. Albert Mata, of Houston, died on February 20, 2012. Albert is survived by a large loving family and his long-time spouse, Tim Brookover. A celebration of Albert’s life was held on February 25 at Bethel United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Legacy Community Health Services—Tim and Albert Fund or to a charity of your choice.
