Complete Gay and Lesbian Manners

By Steven Petrow

Ever wish there was an etiquette book for gay life? Me, too. I’m happy to say there is now a volume filled with good manners, common sense, and frank discussion of all aspects of queer life. Steven Petrow’s Complete Lesbian and Gay Manners covers more than how to handle a simple introduction. “Straight Talk” features questions from heterosexuals about how to handle interactions with gay folk. “The Essentials” answers all those things you wanted to know, but were afraid to ask (my favorite is what the well-dressed leatherman must wear). “Vox Populi” gives everyday people a chance to share how they’ve handled life’s sticky situations. And, speaking of sticky situations, nowhere else will you find a frank discussion of the etiquette of fellatio. Covering such topics as dating, commitment ceremonies, children, the workplace, death, and family holidays, this well-written and entertaining volume should be on everyone’s shelf.
