Name: Anthony Deane Rapp.

Born: October 26, 1971.

Birthplace: Chicago, Illinois.

Occupation: Actor, singer, author.

First Film: ’80s classic Adventures in Babysitting as Daryl Coopersmith, the sex-crazed teenager brought along for the ride.

Affleck-onnection #1: The Jew-in-School melodrama School Ties (which also starred Affleck buddy Matt Damon).

Affleck-onnection #2: Richard Linklatter’s seminal, star-studded Texas stoner must-see Dazed & Confused, as a member of the nerd triumvirate. Rapp’s character was one of the few who avoided Affleck’s paddle-wielding bully.

Best Known For: Playing Mark in Rent, the revolutionary retelling of La Boheme, set in AIDS-ravaged New York City. Rapp portrayed the character on Broadway and in the film which was, in a strange bit of career roundabout, directed by Babysitting director Chris Columbus.

Last Seen: With Joan Rivers and Emily Bergl at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in A Toast to Tennessee, a collage honoring playwright Tennessee Williams and the centennial of his birth.

Future Tense: In Houston at the Rainbow on the Green, the free concert on June 24 at 8 p.m. at Discovery Green celebrating Gay Pride Month.
