Stonewall Law Association of Greater Houston Elects New 2010 Board Members and Officers

The Stonewall Law Association of Greater Houston elected its 2010-2011 board members and officers: president Charles A. Spain, Jr. (Court of Appeals for the First District of Texas;); vice president Christopher V. Bacon (Vinson & Elkins LLP); secretary John S. Adcock (Beck, Redden & Secrest, L.L.P.); treasurer Katherine Hubbard (Hubbard Financial Services, Inc.); and board member Debra E. Hunt (Moore & Hunt).  Stonewall Law is a local bar association for LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered) lawyers.

Stonewall Law was founded in 1990 and has a long history of service to the LGBT communities and people living with HIV.  In 1998 Stonewall lawyers succeeded in creating the LGBT Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, a first of its kind in the nation.

Stonewall is proud to have national leaders in the LGBT and HIV civil rights movement in its ranks.  It is committed to serving the legal profession and to reaching out to the general public to increase awareness of the rights of people who identify as LGBT or who are living with HIV.
