With the word “featuring” appearing so frequently on the track list, you’d think this was a bonus album. Fantasy Ride makes it hard to imagine where Ciara would be without fellow collaborators and tracks “Love Sex Magic” (featuring Justin Timberlake) and “Never Ever” (featuring Young Jeezy). Striving for a diversity of sound in her third album, it falls short and simply can’t compare to the soulful, more evocative melodies of other artists in her genre.
