Organizers for the PFLAG/HATCH Youth Scholarship Foundation have announced the date for the group’s annual Spring Fling–Dollars for Scholars dinner.
The event, scheduled March 26 at InterContinental Hotel, raises funds for a scholarship program that assists worthy GLBT youth in the Houston area who are pursuing a college education.
Its own tax-exempt entity since 1998, PHYSF is a combination of two scholarship programs previously offered by community organizations, PFLAG-Houston and the HATCH youth group. The fund has granted more than 176 scholarships valued at nearly $1 million since the two groups merged.
