Equality Texas has announced the election of four new members to its board of directors, one of them being Houstonian Ellen Denise Junious.
Junious is a professional speaker, certified life coach, and business professor, her career spanning more than 20 years as a technology professional in the areas of healthcare and financial services. She is also a member of the Human Rights Campaign’s national diversity training team and serves on HRC Houston diversity steering committee.
“As a member of the Equality Texas board, I hope to help do the work that is necessary for us to have a greater impact on the equality of all humanity,” Junious said. “I believe [ET executive director] Paul Scott is deeply committed to making a difference in Texas, and I want to support him in bringing together the resources and people to achieve equality for all Texans.”
Other newly elected board members are Whitney Kelly from Amarillo, Katy Stewart from Bryan/College Station, and Paul Tran from Dallas. – by Nancy Ford
